Chuck Dunlap in his RV4 Airplane. Click
here to visit Chuck’s Home Page.   This is a picture of Chuck after building his very first plane, an RV4, and has also built an RV6. Chuck is quite a talented individual. He can work at, or build nearly anything he puts his mind to. Chuck is now an Electronic Engineer at a TV cable company in Arizona.  Another of Chuck's hobbies has him rebuilding Chevrolet Corvairs. He has many other hobbies, as well.  Chuck really is like a brother to me. We first met in the 60's when he was my college roommate.   He later enrolled in Devry to help him to succeed in his current career. In fact, he has helped me in the past with many different projects and problems. He has traveled great distances to help me when I had various problems. I could never say enough good about him.

Note from Gil: Any updates, Chuck?

Click the pic to email Gil   This is Gil Davis. Gil and I met in about 1982 at Greyhound Park 'n Swap (a flea-market) in Phoenix, Arizona. He had written a Numerology program on his Texas Instruments 99/4A home computer and was selling "fortunes" for a buck each. We didn't see each other again until six years later at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix.. We actually remembered each other from that first meeting. We've been friends ever since. Gil taught me quite a lot about computers, being that he's been in them since the Stone Age.  Ummm...of computers, anyway.  In November, 1997, Gil and I went to Comdex, that monster computer show in Las Vegas. We had a fantastic time. So, we HAD to make another one. In November, 1999, we stayed in Las Vegas with our friend, May.  May had a nice little motorhome and we "roughed it" in the apartment complex's parking lot for a whole two nights.  We used the shower in her apartment, so it wasn't THAT bad. Haven't heard from May in quite a while, though.

Manuel Casmiro and
Diamond Jim   These are two of my coffee buddies. They usually meet me at Ryan's Restaurant or the Golden Pancake House, here in Hanford, California. I consider Ryan's to be my home away from home.
Casmiro is retired from the Navy. Before retirement, he was a captain of a navel tugboat. One of his duties required him to work on the engines from time to time. Diamond Jim is in construction. He usually works in the Bay Area (San Franscisco) and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Here's a rather strange, but brief story that happened to me recently, and it can prove just how small the world really is. I was traveling on the Interstate and had just crossed the Nevada border. I was getting hungry and decided to stop at the next place where I could get a decent meal. It just so happened to be Whiskey Pete's...at milepost one. I went in, ordered, finished my meal and started to walk out to continue my trip. While I was walking out, lo and behold, there was Diamond Jim! Jim spoke up loudly and said, "Hey, I know you!!!" Quite a coincidence that someone I knew could be at a random place so far from home. Needless to say, we spent some time together wandering around the casino, before I continued my journey.

Wayne Mayfield is a great guy that I grew up with through high school. We've been buddies through thick and thin. Wayne and I were in Future Farmers of America way back then. We had two things we loved to do, 1.) Give our teachers a hard time and 2.) Party together quite a lot (the advantage of youth!). Well, somehow he got someone to marry him. That's his wife Carol in the picture next to him. Well, even though I lost out on her, (you got a good one, Wayne!), they're both great friends of mine. Recently we went to the 30th Class reunion together. We had a great time and got to dance a lot (well, not with each other!!!).
