End-User Frequently Asked Questions

How do I log in to the LemooreNet-SpamWall Web Interface?
After we activate your LemooreNet-SpamWall services, you will receive an "Activation Message" containing login instructions with password details. You can login at http://spamwall.lemoorenet.com. You will also receive email notifications with login instructions when suspicious messages have been directed to your LemooreNet-SpamWall Web Interface.

What is the interface like?
To check messages or alter settings, you will first log in. After successfully logging in, your personal LemooreNet-SpamWall Web Interface appears, where you can review the messages that LemooreNet-SpamWall identified as suspicious. The LemooreNet-SpamWall Web Interface is the web-based application where you find all LemooreNet-SpamWall service settings and messages. LemooreNet-SpamWall settings can be easily adjusted to accommodate your unique needs and habits.

What if I can't log in to my LemooreNet-SpamWall Web Interface?
You should first try your email account password. Contact LemooreNet Suppport.

What if I don't want LemooreNet-SpamWall services?
LemooreNet-SpamWall is user-configurable, allowing you to simply turn off one or all LemooreNet-SpamWall email services. Typically, email providers will determine default settings for their customers. If those setting are too intrusive or not effective enough, you are welcome to adjust them at any time.

Does LemooreNet-SpamWall work when I send mail or only when I receive it?
Currently, LemooreNet-SpamWall only processes incoming email.

What browsers does LemooreNet-SpamWall support?
LemooreNet-SpamWall supports version 4 (v4) and above of Netscape and Internet Explorer.

How does the LemooreNet-SpamWall system work?
LemooreNet-SpamWall services secure and manage email systems.

Within milliseconds, LemooreNet-SpamWall's award-winning email security solution separates spam and viruses from legitimate messages. Legitimate email is instantly passed on to the destination mail server. Suspicious email can either be quarantined in a web-based, password-protected SpamWall Web Interface for administrator or end-user review, or tagged and delivered. The entire process is fully automated and virtual.

What if a lot of junk email still gets through?
The heuristic filters can block up to 95% of spam from reaching your inbox. Unwanted messages can still get through. Follow the suggestions below to maximize your filter effectiveness:

-Increase your settings. The more aggressive the filter setting, the fewer spam messages will reach your Inbox. Please note that more aggressive the setting the more often you should visit the SpamWall Web Interface to confirm that legitimate messages are not quarantined. If they are, add those senders or domains to your Approved Sender list.

-Review your Approved Mailing List. Do you have other email addresses forwarding to this account? Check to be sure your addresses are NOT on the Approved Mailing List.

-Mark your spam. Participate in keeping the filters accurate by marking your unfiltered spam messages. This does not guarantee that these messages will be filtered in the future, but will be used by engineers for filter tuning.
